Safari Tent Glamping

Our safari tent is the ultimate in luxury camping, and is enough to tempt even the most reluctant of campers out into the woods. Situated in a large sunny glade in an exclusive area in our ancient woodland, it offers home from home comfort, with the excitement and adventure of sleeping under canvas.

If you’re craving nature without compromise, glamping at Dernwood Farm is the easiest way to arrive, unpack, and switch off.  Beds are made up,  and everything is ready for your arrival — just pack clothes, food, and a sense of adventure.  The space is thoughtfully spaced for privacy, while still feeling part of the woodland

Living 'off grid' in the woodland for a few days gives a unique experience of being with nature. The tents are equipped with  lots of reference books for adults and children alike, and spotter guides for each of the seasons that children can take off and explore with.

The safari tent sleeps up to 8 if you use the sofa bed. It has two bedrooms (one double and one bunk) and a double cabin bed, which children love. It has a sink (with hot water) and a woodburning range with oven for big stews and roast dinners. Plus a two ring cast iron gas burner so you don’t have to light the fire for that early morning cup of coffee. It has a bathroom with shower, hand basin and toilet.  Lighting is solar and victorian oil lamps.

There is a large pizza oven  on the front deck , we stock the dough , tomato topping and mozzarella in our shop, so you just need to bring your own toppings - great fun and very tasty!
