The Wagon

Family legend has it that we have gypsy blood running through our veins, so over one winter Dad and my Uncle Trevor have lovingly restored our old livestock trailer with their own take on a Gypsy caravan come Showman’s wagon. Drawing on traditional methods and designs they have created our next glamping offering, with a Victorian cast iron water bowser converted into a gorgeous wood fired hot tub you’ll never want to leave!

She was towed to her private woodland clearing in  March  2016, where along with the hot tub there is an outside loo – just like we already have at The Cabin. The Wagon is situated in our ancient woods a little way up from the Cabin and Safari Tent, around a 5 minute walk from the carpark. Farm map  She sleeps two. There is a firepit with grill and dutch oven and seating outside and a hammock slung between two hornbeam trees.

Inside there is U-shaped seating that converts down to a full size double bed, kitchen area with a 1 ring cast iron gas hob,  cold running water, and cosy wood burner.   It is fully equipped with all pots, pans, crockery and cutlery for 2 people. It is totally off grid so lit with solar lights and oil lamps. A cool box is provided plus all bedding and linen.

The Wagon is bookable for either a 2 night Friday and Saturday night break, or for a small increase you can also book the Sunday night.  And midweek you can book for 4 nights breaks Monday to Thursday. Outside our busy periods of school holidays we can be flexible and offer shorter breaks during the week so please do email me your requirements:
